Thanksgiving Basket Update

Thanks to all of the couples who have signed up to help out with Thanksgiving baskets! I’ll be assigning couples to baskets on Sunday morning. Each basket will have 4 couples assigned to it, and I’ll have the list of items to purchase, delivery options, etc. Our Community Group is hosting 5 baskets; the most any Community Group has hosted, yet!! What a fantastic way to serve, especially as a new group. I know lots of families will be blessed thru this act of love and service.

see you Sunday!

16 people showed up … 15 of had a great time =)

The weather was crisp and clear. The mountain air was refreshing. The ride was relaxing. The leaves were turning all sorts of vibrant colors. The food at the greasy spoon place at the bottom was excellent.

We have some pictures and as soon as I can how, I’ll get some posted…

THanks for getting this together Tyler…

Looking forward to the next fun outing…

Thanksgiving Baskets

Every year FeFc provides a basket containing the supplies to provide a nice thanksgiving day meal for families in our community who may have otherwise not had a special thanksgiving meal together.

Each Basket costs around $100 to build. A grocery list is provided with supplies for us to purchase and assemble into our basket.

The baskets are then brought to FEFC for delivery, or I beleive those assembling the baskets can deliver them as well if desired.

2B1 has commited to joining fefc as a community group and sponsoring multiple baskets.

We believe it would be good for groups of 4 or 5 couples to team together to build each basket ( with current attendence, that will get us around 5-6 baskets!!!). You can get w/ your group and divide up the list, or even go shopping together and split the cost of the basket amongst the group.

Sign up sheets will be available in the sunday 2b1 meeting, or contact Wendy Heintz wheintz@fefc.com to get involved.
