Virginia Creeper Bike Ride…

Yep, you heard it here. 2B1 is organizing a Virgina Creeper Bicycle Ride. The difficulty level is LOW and the relaxation enjoyment is off the meter!Here’s a summary, and I will post more details as they are available…
- Date: OCT 20th, 2007
- Time: Most of the Day
- What is it? Virgina Creeper is an old railway bed that has been converted into a scenic, relaxing bicycle riding spot.
- It is mostly downhill.
- You won’t have to pedal.
- You won’t huff and puff.
- You can be non-ahtletic and still participate.
- You can rent a bike there.
- You get to ride a shuttle to the top ( or you you are Lance Armstrong, you can ride up)
- Logistics: Leave the church at 9:30 AM. Drive to Abingdon VA ( carpools are cool!). Shuttle Reservations are at 12:30. Catch a shuttle to the top of the MTN, steer your bicycle down the mtn. Hang out. Eat Dinner. Come home.
- Cost: Variable
- about $10 if you bring your own bike and just need the shuttle up.
- about $20 if you rent a bike (comes w/ helmet AND A BOTTLE OF WATER!!!)
